Well, kids, here’s the dealio … all the bad motor scooters have come and gone in massive numbers, everyone had a great time and made it thru another Spring Bike Rally and Memorial Bike Rally … so now what are we to do, hmmmmm?
Hey, here’s an idea – let House Of Blues Myrtle Beach rock your ass off all thru the month of June in any manner you choose: pop, country, rock or jam, they got ya covered – and then some as they take to the stage at House Of Blues Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing, 4640 Highway 17 S., North Myrtle Beach, S.C..
It’s not just big names at HOB, and kicking it off is a great Tribute band, as Departure – A Tribute to Journey bring all the hits of one of the ‘70s greatest rock bands to life for all to regal once again on Saturday, June 6.
The next night, one of the best vocal bands – as well as one of the best bands period – returns to put a smile on your face and a swoon in your heart, as longtime favorites Little River Band bring their formidable catalog of hits like “Lady,” “Cool Change,” “Happy Anniversary,” and “Man On Your Mind” along with new classics destined to find their way into your music libraries on Friday, June 7.
The venue changes up speed the next night, and it will be time for all the “Redneck Women” (and their men) to come enjoy some down-home jamming and jukin’ when Gretchen Wilson brings her upbeat country style and good looks to town, proving she’s no one-hit wonder and pretty damn hot, to boot, on Saturday, June 8.
After shows that hot, you’ll need a couple of days to cool off before the stage bursts into white-hot waves when the legendary Warren Haynes brings Gov’t Mule to put the glow in your “Soulshine,” offering up some of the greatest guitar leads and vocals in one of the best 4-piece bands you will ever see, bar none … and lookie here, it gets even better, because opening up will be equally legendary Bayou crooner, Dr. John, on Tuesday, June 12.
Another great Tribute act takes over on Thursday, June 14 as Face 2 Face – Elton John/Billy Joel Tribute – do the ivory duo justice in presenting their greatest hits in a stunningly good presentation that will impress even the fussiest fan.
Every now and then, a great band makes the comeback tour we’ve all been waiting on, and one of the best you’ll ever see will take place on Friday, June 15, when The Cult burns down the stage with opening acts, Against Me and The Icarus Line.
And then the new guard takes charge on Thursday, June 21, when the amazing Grace Potter & The Nocturnals bring a whole new wave of blistering rock & blues, with opening act Rayland Baxter.
More great salutes to greats come on Friday, June 22, with the Dave Matthews Tribute Band bringing the spirit of jam, roots and rock.
Wrapping it up is Jacksonville’s Shinedown (with the best Simple Man cover ever) with Adelita’s Way on Saturday, June 30.
